Djsasso has nominated this page for deletion for the reason: To quote the nom over on en.wiki "There's no in-depth biographical coverage of him in the article as it stands - the "sources" simply rehash tidbits from his website. He gets no hits on JSTOR, no hits on Scholar and no verifiable hit on Gbooks; he is not listed on Scopus.
It is claimed that he is certified by the American Board of Addiction Medicine; attempting to verify this on the website of that august body takes us to this other website, where his name does not appear." Djsasso (talk) 12:43, 23 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
After nominating the article I realize it has already been deleted at Rfd once. Wikipedia:Requests for deletion/Requests/2019/Russell Surasky. -Djsasso (talk) 20:19, 23 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Please discuss this request below, but keep in mind that you shouldn't vote on everything and that there may be options other than "keep" or "delete", such as merging.
- Keep This physician clearly meets notability criteria. I have gone ahead and added more sources to the page to help demonstrate biographical coverage. Additionally, this doctor is on national television multiple times/week. Granted these networks including Newsmax and One America News but they also include Fox News and Multiple appearances on Tucker Carlson Tonight. Also, the Medium/Authority magazine article is not simply a typical Medium article. This detailed interview with Dr. Surasky (which provides significant biographical details) was actually done under the heading of Authority Magazine in a series called "Heroes of the Addiction Crisis". This holds much more validity/neutrality than a typical Medium article. Not one of the sources utilized is a promoted/paid source. In addition to ongoing television notoriety, multiple board certifications as a neurologist, a simple search reveals an Instagram page which is Verified. While Instagram verification is not considered a Wikipedia standard, it's just further evidence that his credentials and standing in the community is notable. keep — Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.118.30.252 (talk • contribs)
- None of the things you mention would determine notability on Wikipedia. Not to mention looking at your edits and those of the people involved with this article and the corresponding on English Wikipedia it looks like some undisclosed Conflict of Interest editing. -Djsasso (talk) 20:14, 23 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
- Speedy Delete - Per the discussion on the English Wikipedia's deletion page [1], it seems to be a page made for promotion of a person's business, which is against Wikipedia's rules. As that one is heading for a speedy delete, we probably should too. Blissyu2 (talk)
