Even with my little knowledge, it would seem that these two articles contain information on the same person. Just called by two different names. imdb.com and blizzard.com both call him by "Chris", not "Chriz". -Mriswith 05:19, 10 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Merge. There is no point in having two articles about the same person. --Koveras 11:36, 21 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Redirect. Redirects are what we're supposed to do in cases like this to cover misspellings during searches. Tetigit 03:45, 26 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I went ahead and made a redirect from "Chriz Metzen" because it's just a misspelling of his name. Also by keeping the Chriz article as a redirect we don't break anything :) Tetigit 05:22, 26 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]
If you are still working on it, you should at least say so. ;-P --Koveras☭ 08:55, 28 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Aye, I'm just trying to find somewhere like IMDb that is deemed reliable for the career section, else I'll piece it together using interviews and direct citations to the game manuals. -- Sabre (talk) 09:02, 28 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
If anyone knows Metzen's date of birth and place of birth, please put it up in the infobox (I left the fields in). I'm having trouble finding it. -- Sabre (talk) 09:11, 28 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
No particular reason. The appearance and fields are identical for the uses in this article. I've changed it over all the same. -- Sabre (talk) 11:21, 28 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I've had trouble finding his date of birth and place of birth. It doesn't seem to be out on the web anywhere.
A bibliography is somewhat unnecessary. To my knowledge, Metzen has only one novel published, and is working on a comic book. Most of his writing work is to do with games' storylines. As such, a bibliography of two entries just seems redundant when its already all noted in the career section.
I'm working on getting an image from Blizzcon 2007 from one of the StarCraft fansites. Its taking far longer than I might have hoped though.
I've expanded it somewhat, but that's about as good as it gets for his artistic style. I can easily provide a fair use image of his art, we've got a few bits of his art uploaded for various purposes already. I'll throw in the image "Easy Rider" from Jim Raynor's article. -- Sabre (talk) 11:33, 9 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Also, it should be used near where the article talks about it.
"media franchises: the Warcraft franchise, the Diablo series and the StarCraft series" - you've already said franchise, can you just name them now ("... Warcraft, Diablo, and StarCraft")?
"on the recommendation of a friend after the friend saw some of Metzen's artwork" --> "on the recommendation of a friend who had seen his work"?
"which gave Metzen the opportunity" - variety... throw in a "him" here, maybe
...and elsewhere
And that's about it. Didn't look at all the sources so just make sure they're OK before going for GA. Otherwise good luck. Giggy (talk) 08:17, 23 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Ok, thanks. As far as http://cecilvortex.com/swath/2008/04/21/an_interview_with_chris_metzen_part_one.html goes, the interviewer seems to have fairly solid credentials, having conducted interviews with a variety of individuals from various parts of the entertainment industries. In addition, when I was searching for sources for the article, quite a number of reliable sources kept pointing to this interview. -- Sabre (talk) 10:37, 23 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Probably a good idea to make a note of those reliable sources pointing to it somewhere, so you can present them if need be. Giggy (talk) 10:41, 23 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

This is a nice, short article. It seems to cover his full career, and it's good to see a Personal life section. I had three very minor concerns, but I dealt with them myself. I believe this article meets all six criteria for a Good Article, so I am promoting it.
If you have a chance, it would be great if you could review an article in return to help reduce the backlog. Best wishes, GaryColemanFan (talk) 16:41, 5 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Thank ye very much! -- Sabre (talk) 17:04, 5 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
