Galbabhai Nanjibhai Patel played an important role in the foundation of the dairy.[1] It is headquartered at Palanpur.[4]

Banas Dairy collects an average of around 5[5] million liters of milk every day. In winter, milk collection increases to 7.6 million liters of milk every day,[6][7] the highest collection rate in Asia.[8][citation needed]
