Chalu (Persian: چلو, also Romanized as Chalū) is a village in Howmeh Rural District of the Central District of Shirvan County, North Khorasan province, Iran.
At the 2006 National Census, its population was 949 in 208 households.[3] The following census in 2011 counted 1,385 people in 360 households.[4] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 1,846 people in 509 households; it was the largest village in its rural district.[2]
