Congleton Pantomime is a theatre group located in Congleton, Cheshire. Congleton Pantomime was founded in 1978.[1]

Congleton Pantomime perform one pantomime each year in January at Daneside Theatre.[2]

The theatre group is a member of the National Operatic and Dramatic Association.[3]

History

Congleton Pantomime was formed in 1978 by a group of neighbours from Astbury with the aim of putting on a show at the village hall.[1]

Thoughout 1979 funding raising events were held which raised £500.[4] The money raised funded Congleton pantomime’s first production which was Snow White which was performed on 17-19 January 1980 at Asbury village hall.[4]

Ann Winterton is a patron of Congleton Pantomime.[5]
