Erbil Governorate (Kurdish: پارێزگای ھەولێر ,Parêzgeha Hewlêr,[4][5] Arabic: محافظة أربيل, romanized: Muḥāfaẓat Arbīl[6]) is a governorate in the Kurdistan Region. It is the capital and economic hub of the autonomous region of the Kurdistan Region.[7]
