Estarabad-e Jonubi Rural District (Persian: دهستان استرآباد جنوبي) is in the Central District of Gorgan County,[3] Golestan province, Iran. It is administered from the city of Jelin (formerly the village of Jelin-e Olya).[4]
At the National Census of 2006, its population was 29,216 in 7,326 households.[5] There were 22,864 inhabitants in 6,463 households at the following census of 2011.[6] At the most recent census of 2016, the population of the rural district was 23,108 in 6,999 households. The largest of its 33 villages was Nasrabad, with 4,129 people.[2]
