Gurband (Persian: گوربند, also Romanized as Gūrband; also known as Gavarbaad, Gavārband, and Qal‘eh-ye Gūrband)[3] is a village in, and the capital of, Gurband Rural District[4] of the Central District of Minab County, Hormozgan province, Iran.
At the 2006 National Census, its population was 2,444 in 615 households.[5] The following census in 2011 counted 2,562 people in 651 households.[6] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 2,692 people in 813 households.[2]
