Hesami Rural District (Persian: دهستان حسامی) is in the Central District of Sarchehan County, Fars province, Iran. Its capital is the village of Jamalabad,[2] whose population at the 2016 National Census was 724 in 221 households.[3]
After the census, the former Sarchehan District of Bavanat County was separated from the county in the establishment of Sarchehan County and divided into the Central District containing Tujerdi Rural District, Sarchehan Rural District, and the cities of Hesami and the new capital, Korehi; and Bagh Safa District containing Bagh Safa Rural District and the new Arzhang Rural District.[4] The county was further divided later when Tujerdi Rural District was separated from the Central District to establish Tujerdi District, which was divided into two rural districts including the new Marvashkan Rural District. At the same time, Hesami Rural District was established in the Central District and the capital of the county was moved from Korehi to Hesami.[2]
