Jargalan Rural District (Persian: دهستان جرگلان) is in Jargalan District of Raz and Jargalan County, North Khorasan province, Iran.[3] Its capital is the village of Yekkeh Soud-e Sofla.[4]
At the National Census of 2006, its population (as a part of the former Raz and Jargalan District of Bojnord County) was 30,659 in 6,965 households.[5] There were 32,981 inhabitants in 8,126 households at the following census of 2011.[6] At the most recent census of 2016, the population of the rural district was 18,141 in 4,646 households, by which time the district had been separated from the county in the establishment of Raz and Jargalan County.[3] The most populous of its 20 villages was Yekkeh Soud-e Sofla, with 2,852 people.[2]
