Kashara (Russian: Кашара) is a rural locality (Russian: деревня, lit. 'village') and the administrative center of Platavsky Selsoviet Rural Settlement, Konyshyovsky District, Kursk Oblast, Russia. Population: 333 (2010 Russian census);[2] 529 (2002 Census);[6]
The village is located on the Suzhavitsa River (a left tributary of the Svapa River), 46 km from the Russia–Ukraine border, 76 km north-west of Kursk, 14 km west of the district center – the urban-type settlement Konyshyovka.[7]
Kashara has a warm-summer humid continental climate (Dfb in the Köppen climate classification).
