This is a list of electricity-generating power stations in the U.S. state of Maryland, sorted by type and name. In 2022, Maryland had a total summer capacity of 11,908 MW through all of its power plants, and a net generation of 37,139 GWh.[2] The corresponding electrical energy generation mix was 39.9% nuclear, 37.6% natural gas, 12.5% coal, 4.8% hydroelectric, 1.9% solar, 1.3% wind, 0.8% biomass, 0.4% petroleum, and 0.8% other. Small-scale solar, which includes customer-owned PV panels, delivered an additional net 1,283 GWh of energy to Maryland's electrical grid. This was nearly twice the generation of the state's utility-scale PV plants.[1]
