Payara Server is an open-source application server from GlassFish Server Open Source Edition. Developed in 2014 and released in October 2014 by C2B2 Consulting, Payara Server was created as a fork and drop-in replacement for GlassFish when Oracle announced the discontinuation of commercial support.[1][2][3]
Payara Server is designed to host Jakarta EE applications.[1]
Server release notes can be found in the documentation.[4] Support is available from Payara Services Ltd., via the Payara Enterprise project.[2]
Payara Cloud is a cloud-native application runtime designed to allow Jakarta EE apps to run on the cloud.[5]
