Qarah Bolagh (Persian: قره بلاغ, also Romanized as Qarah Bolāgh; also known as Qal‘eh Zīr)[1] is a village in Shoja Rural District, in the Central District of Jolfa County, East Azerbaijan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 467, in 125 families.[2] The next census took place in 2011 counting 366 people in 121 households, and the census of 2016 showed a population of 865 people in 272 families. Qarah Bolagh was the most populous village in its rural district.[citation needed]
