Qosabeh (Persian: قصابه, or Qassabeh; also Qəsəbə in Azerbaijani)[3] is a city in, and the capital of, Qosabeh District of Meshgin Shahr County, Ardabil province, Iran.[4]
At the 2006 census, its population was 2,110 in 488 households, when it was a village in Meshgin-e Gharbi Rural District of the Central District.[5] The following census in 2011 counted 2,152 people in 592 households.[6] The 2016 census showed a population of 2,095 people in 662 households,[2] by which time the rural district had been separated from the district in the establishment of Qosabeh District, and the village of Qosabeh had been elevated to city status.[4]
