Ravi Varma Adduri (born 12 September 1975) is an Indian actor who appears in Telugu films and is known for his role as Selva Swamy in the serial TV show Mogali Rekulu (2008)[1] and for playing negative roles in films. Ravi Varma debuted as an actor with Telugu film, Aaruguru Pativratalu (2004), written and directed by EVV Satyanarayana.
Ravi Varma Adduri was born in Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh, India, and brought up in Visakhapatnam. He studied Mechatronics from ITE in Singapore.
He debuted with Aaruguru Pativratalu (2004), a film with six stories and played the lead in the first story as an impotent man.[2] He was noticed for his role as the heroine's father in Uyyala Jampala (2013). Regarding his performance, a critic wrote that "Ravi Varma (Mogali Rekulu fame) is seen in insignificant characters in movies so far. He is extremely good as father of heroine in a slightly negative role. This film will give the Telugu film industry a good character artist who is suitable for father roles".[3] He played notable roles in Buchinaidu Kandriga (2020) and Prathyardhi (2023).[4][5] Regarding his performance in the latter film, a critic wrote that "Adduri Ravivarma, who played the role of a sub-inspector, impressed in his own style".[6]
