Notes

  1. ^ Almost immediately, Dimash hastened to deny the news that he could go to the contest as a representative from Russia. He told about it in the Instagram. "Dear friends, due to the fact that I received a lot of letters about my participation in the Eurovision Song Contest from Russia, I want to answer about this. I can only perform if I am invited as a guest" – Dimash said. The singer also noted that at such competitions as Eurovision, he will represent only Kazakhstan. "With great respect and love to my viewers, I must say that there is only one country that I represent in the international arena, is my homeland – Kazakhstan" – Dimash added.[9]
  2. ^ On November 14, 2019, Olga Buzova gave a solo concert at Izvestia Hall as part of the tour "Pod zvuki potzeluyev" (Under the Sounds of Kisses). Before the start of the next song, Olga said: "I will sing the next song in English at the Eurovision Song Contest."[11] Both Olga and her representatives refused to comment further, so the journalists decided to appeal to the people who are involved in Eurovision. The chief producer of music and entertainment programs of Channel One, Yuri Aksyuta, called the information about the possible participation of Olga Buzova in the Eurovision Song Contest "nonsense".[12]
