→Functions: I checked the source (https://www.scientificamerican.com/article/the-science-of-gossip/), and it is not what the source says. It just says that gossip may serve the same purpose than social grooming (i.e. bonding), not that it's social grooming. Bonding is mentioned in the next item, so that's redundant.
