On September 19, 2023 Azerbaijan launched an offensive against the Republic of Artsakh. This resulted in Azerbaijan successfully occupying the entirety of Artsakh, causing the Armenian population in Artsakh to flee to Armenia and Artsakh to cease to exist. On January 1, 2024 the Republic of Artsakh is absorbed into Azerbaijan.

On September 19, 2023 Azerbaijan launched an offensive against Artsakh. Novorossiya is more of a concept rather than an actual disputed territory.

On February 22, 2020 a peace agreement was signed in South Sudan. This peace agreement abolished the 32 states that South Sudan formerly had in 2017 from a presidential decree. Now, the states of South Sudan are reverted back into 10 states with the addition of two administrative areas and one area with special administrative status.
