Sha Wujing
→Overview: Removed incorrect info. The original novel states that "the nine skulls changed into nine curls of dark wind and vanished" (Wu & Yu, 2012, vol. 1, p. 434).current

I made three changes: 1) I removed more plagiarized material; 2) I removed made up material (i.e. the Buddha has Peng chase the pilgrims); and 3) I removed a section because the linked source doesn't appear to mention the info. Searching for "鵬" turned up nothing.

→Overview: Removing plagiarized material. It was copied, with slight changes, from my blog article "How the Hindu Bird God Garuda Came to Appear in Journey to the West." The original passage reads: "The Ming dynasty examples suggest Garuda was considered a common element of the Buddha’s enlightenment torana. The bird god is in effect a guardian of the faith who watches over the world from an exalted position high atop the Buddha’s throne."

Zhenyuan Daxian
Removing section about supposed idols. A random blog with pictures is not a reliable source. Also, removing "dojo." He doesn't run a martial arts school.

Journey to the West
Undid revision 1004535834 by InEventOf (talk) These characters are primarily known by these names in the west. There is no reason to remove them. Also, the Tang Monk is also known as Tripitaka in Anthony C. Yu's 2012 revised translation.Tag: Undo

Monkey King Festival
The 1852 plate showing a monkey temple in China is clearly based on a plate from 'Gedenkwaerdig bedryf der Nederlandsche Ooste-Indische Maetschappye' (1670), which depicts a monkey temple in Japan. It is therefore inaccurate. See my post here: https://twitter.com/McClanJr81/status/1298880540750168064

Monkey King
Corrections and additions. Carrying two mountains while running is more impressive than just wielding the staff. Also, Wukong uses fixing magic and not cold breath to stop people in place.

Monkey King
The staff was never an anchor for the sea. This is based on a mistranslation from the W.J.F. Jenner addition. See this sourced blog for info: https://journeytothewestresearch.wordpress.com/2018/08/04/misconceptions-about-monkeys-staff-and-the-milky-way-galaxy/ . I also removed unsourced statements from the influences section
