Emotional Freedom Techniques
my source is wiki: Thought Field Therapy which notes that Roger Callahan was selling this bogus tapping in the 1980. BTW I met Roger at an APA conference selling his $800 book, proving the technique with videos of his appearances on daytime TV - Phobia? after the commercial Cured! When I asked if this was a hypnotic confusion technique he accused me of trying to steal his invention and threatened to harm me (I know, it's not a source, but it should be looked into.

Alcoholism
SMART Recovery now offers more than 2,000 meetings around the world - not nearly as many as AA, but more than any other alternative and it has a different program. For balance and completeness I'm suggesting this addition.Tag: Visual edit

Women for Sobriety
→Program: As before, I'm changing alcoholics which the program eschues, and inserting alcohol dependence. Note: a person HAS this diagnosis, but is not the diagnosis. I have a problem, but I am not 'a problem.'~~~~

Women for Sobriety
The group does not use labels like alcoholic as noted in the next paragraph, so it makes no sense to say the group is for 'alcoholic women" and I have used more neutral terms like women with alcohol problems or dependence.
