The article does assert notability (oldest canoe club in Scotland, largest in Edinburgh, founding member of national association). Also, the page is not orphaned, there are links from three other pages. I am adding a reference to an external independent source and removing prod. Capmango 01:31, 12 June 2007 (UTC)
There is no source for the assertion that Forth is the largest kayak club in Edinburgh - there is also an Edinburgh kayak Club. Also, of the three links to this page, one is a redirect and another comes via that redirect, so there is only one 'real' link.Urchaidh (talk) 00:35, 20 February 2008 (UTC)
I'm the new secretary of Edinburgh Canal Society (page to follow), and I have heard many accounts from our senior members that Kelso Riddell almost singlehandedly dredged and restored the Edinburgh end of the Union Canal when it was no more than a filthy, smelly hole, and no one else was interested in it. I can't see why this page is in "Transport". It should be in "Canals" or Canal restoration, or Sport. Renata (talk) 19:01, 28 April 2008 (UTC)

Thanks for not deleting the article. Renata (talk) 22:00, 13 June 2008 (UTC)
I think that the building in the picture may not be the St Andrew's Boathouse. The picture shows the Edinburgh Canal Society one. Is the St Andrew's Boathouse not the one which is up at Harrison Road Bridge? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Suffragist (talk • contribs) 16:28, 14 February 2012 (UTC)
