"...it became the fifth best-selling video game of 2006...". From what I can make out from the source, these figures are only for the US, and the statement makes out it's a global figure. I think it should be changed. Andy86 (talk) 03:47, 25 November 2007 (UTC)
On one of the Guitar Hero games (I forget which one), on the song select screen where the little doodles are on the right side of the screen, there was one near the lower brackets. It had four letters in it, and it was circled with a line through it. I believe it had something to do with Dimebag Darrell of Pantera's murder. Can anyone tell me what the letters were and what the exact significance of the letters were? I thought I remembered something on one of the Guitar Hero pages about it. Please respond, TheGuitarHero 03:09, 22 June 2007 (UTC)
I've noticed that someone's replaced the original image file ([1]) with a different image. I don't know if the image should be re-uploaded or if we should just keep the new one or what. If we're keeping the new one, the image needs a new caption, as the guitars are different models. Pele Merengue 18:12, 31 July 2007 (UTC)
Normally by WP:EL, fan sites aren't to be used as external links, but that's a guideline, not a requirement. Given how big the fan site ScoreHero is to the GH community, I would think they should be kept as an EL on the series page (but not on subsequent other GH pages unless they have provided a reference as in the case of GH3). Anyone object to this? --Masem 03:53, 3 September 2007 (UTC)
Don't know what to do with this right now: Aerosmith says they're working with producers on GH 4 (which could be read as GH 4 being Aerosmith -specific, or just that Aerosmith is featured in it). Billboard article --Masem 23:17, 4 September 2007 (UTC)
I've found some articles that are confirming "Guitar Hero DS".[2][3][4] This sounds like it's going to be a separate game from GHIII despite being released after it. (that is, it is apparently NOT "Guitar Hero 3 for the DS"). Right now, however, it's hard to tell. I was posting this here (in the general series page) because this is now notable, but could go in one of three places:
Suggestions? Something does need to be added, its just a matter of where. --Masem 16:52, 7 September 2007 (UTC)
Image:Guitar-hero-3-gameplay.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

I love Guitar Hero, but I have never played Guitar Freaks, and I hear many people insulting Guitar Hero for "ripping off" Guitar Freaks. I believe that this issue of similarity and insults deserves, if not an article of its own, then at least some mention on the Guitar Hero and Guitar Freaks articles —Preceding unsigned comment added by Magicallydajesus (talk • contribs) 04:20, 18 September 2007 (UTC)
Um... I was just wondering, was there any discussion at all regarding the addition of the disambig page and move of the main GH1 article to a new title? There didn't seem to be any need for it until the editor who made the moves added a new Guitar hero article that's probably never gonna be able to be anything that doesn't belong on Wiktionary instead of Wikipedia itself. Thoughts? Should we reverse those changes and go back to what had been working for over a year? Rdfox 76 02:39, 20 September 2007 (UTC)

gibson firebird —Preceding unsigned comment added by 164.58.126.128 (talk) 16:47, 26 October 2007 (UTC)
Uh, no. A Gibson Firebird is shaped more like an Gibson X-plorer with rounded edges. I have the same wireless, and I believe that it is an original shape developed by the makers and is not based on an existing model. BreakerLOLZ 05:26, 10 November 2007 (UTC)
Should the GH songlists be merged to a single article? Please see discussion here. --MASEM 20:38, 13 October 2007 (UTC)
Someone should either add a section about the characters or make a new article about them —Preceding unsigned comment added by Thad505 (talk • contribs) 03:37, 8 November 2007 (UTC)
The controllers and games favor the right handed players.I had to play the songs with the buttons in reverse order than the colors on the screen. Is their any news about a controller for left handed players. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.161.45.57 (talk) 22:44, 9 November 2007 (UTC)
Personally I think they should make a left handed controller because i am a left handed player as well and then i play on guitar hero 3 for 2 songs "Through the Fire and Flames" by DragonForce and the Lou boss battle (both on hard) they make me strum extreamly fast and the whammy bar gets in my way and it annoys my they should make a left handed guitar hero guitar personally but leftys are scarce Acdcfanactic727 (talk) 04:29, 25 November 2007 (UTC)
Since there have been 4 Games, Do you think that a whole category should be made for All songs that are featured in the Games. I think that this would be very convienent rather than just going to each of the four games's pages to see what songs have been put into the game series. I think adding them into a Category into Alphabetical Order Would be very convienent. Thats just what i think. I wont do the actual change, but if you can that would be very Convienent. According to some sites Guitar Hero 4 is going to be released this year and one announced song called "Never Too Late" by The Answer. http://www.eurogamer.net/article.php?article_id=92166 http://www.ps3fanboy.com/2008/02/06/guitar-hero-iv-coming-this-year/ http://www.guitarheronews.com/ http://www.joystiq.com/2007/12/03/guitar-hero-4-call-of-duty-5-and-tony-hawk-11-confirmed/ http://www.n4g.com/News-89747.aspx

"On February 8, 2008 two new Guitar Hero games were confirmed to be released between April 1 and June 30, 2008. The titles are as of yet, unconfirmed.[12]"
They're confirmed AND unconfirmed? Which is it?Purplepurplepurple (talk) 04:20, 11 February 2008 (UTC)
Guitar Hero: Aerosmith confirmed: [8]. For the record, this is not "Guitar Hero IV", but rather an expansion similiar to "Rocks The 80's". There's more information in the link, which I'll let the more regular editors parse through. —Preceding unsigned comment added by TRTX (talk • contribs)
If I remember right, I think Neversoft mentioned something about working closely with the rock band U2. A Powerful Weakness (talk) 16:56, 15 February 2008 (UTC) A Powerful Weakness
This just a rumor, but their is a chance that GH:A might include additional peripherals like Rock Band. http://www.joystiq.com/2008/02/17/rumor-guitar-hero-aerosmith-to-use-drum-and-mic-peripherals/ —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.150.227.246 (talk) 08:24, 18 February 2008 (UTC) PAGE CREATED I started the page today.
