Removed unencyclopedic content: This man is a great player and a great role model for the Islamic and Lebanese community of Australia. He acts the way people should. Cdh1984 13:39, 25 November 2006 (UTC)
Has he has played in the Lebanon national rugby league team?--Jeff79 07:22, 1 May 2007 (UTC)
World Cup 2000, he was Captain. Londo06 21:09, 3 May 2007 (UTC)
Having just watched the State of Origin game 3 interview with him at the end of the match, i'm pretty sure he said that he had a daughter and 2 sons? Can any confirm this? Nicwright 12:09, 4 July 2007 (UTC)
I feel strongly that the sentence: "El Masri is a devout Muslim who has become a positive role model for many young Australians" should be altered or completely removed. It has a massive ideological agenda.
It has the same agenda as the following: "such-in-such is a devout Nazi/Christian/Nationalist/Conservative/Whatever...and therefore is a positive role model for many young Australians".
I don't consider his devout religiousity or his veiled wife to be a positive role model. I don't believe Wikipedia should be endorsing any form of "devoutness" and should instead report circumstances rather than endorse them. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Davidrose (talk • contribs)
Currently, the article reads:
The Canterbury Bulldogs have a large Lebanese-Australian following due to players such as El Masri, Rod Silva and Craig Polla-Mounter.
Eh? Neither Silva nor Polla-Mounter is Lebanese, so more information would be required to make this sentence make sense. Ordinary Person (talk) 07:25, 22 September 2008 (UTC)
Named in the train-on squad by the Lebanese, have restored him to a current player, from retired and and adjusted the retirement section to reflect his retirement from the NRL competition. Were he pull out of the Lebanon squad he should then be restored to former player status. Lando09 (talk) 18:25, 28 September 2009 (UTC)
