Against prostitutes? Women? The people who lived in that area? People in general? There are more reasons why people might be violent towards prostitutes (I.e. they think they are improving an area, they have psychosis and are paranoid, and so forth with severe personality disorders and a lot of other psychiatric/developmental problems). I am the grand daughter of Robert Emmons, best friend to Walter Sickert and author of "The Life and Opinions of Walter Sickert. There is only one passage in the book regarding frightening two young ladies at a bar (to the effect that they ran from the bar terrified of what ever it is Walter Sickert said to them), but the family story is my Grandmorther, Anita Emmons forbid Walter Sickert from coming to the house (in Hamble England) after my grandfather brought him to meet her, and as she put it "He looked right through me" and "those eyes" (shuddering). Jack The Ripper was an unidentified serial killer in Whitechapel, London in 188. The five victims were each believed to be linked. The victims' throats were each cut prior to abdominal mutilations.
