The possession of up to 10 grams is not punishable anymore in Switzerland, basically through a legal loophole ("legal"). It has been fined with CHF 100 since 2012 but the federal court has ruled in September 2017 that possession of under 10 grams cannot be punished under the current law. Most cantonal police departments have immediately announced to stop fining those quantities. However, consumption of cannabis remains finable ("illegal but decriminalized"). This vote in itself doesn't actually change government policy - it merely expresses Parliaments opinion on the matter - whether the government then implement this policy we shall see (as mentioned in the article they will be going to Portugal in February to further investigate how it has worked there) Guyb123321 (talk) 22:12, 24 December 2017 (UTC)
I feel the current chart is putting way too much content in the first column, then two columns for laws that generally go along with Use, and then I'm fine having a separate Cultivation column.
The problem is that we're using the yellow color on the Use column to mean many different things: decriminalized, medical, and often unenforced. I think that's limiting our ability to show the differences between countries without having to read the fine print in each column.
Since there is rarely a case where Transport has substantially different laws from Sales/Use, I would suggest eliminating that column entirely, and having the columns being "Personal use", "Medical", "Sale", and "Cultivation". Or something along those lines.
Downsides? I know there are some other-language Wikipedias that copy from our chart, and that could theoretically inconvenience them if they're just copying directly. And there may be non-Wikimedia websites that cull from this with a 'bot and would have to reconfigure to a new chart format (which I submit is their problem, not ours). The map at the top is only loosely based on the chart, so I don't think we're inconveniencing the map folks too much, especially since the map doesn't at all involve medical, so we're actually removing a complicating factor when they read the chart.
Any opinions or suggestions? Goonsquad LCpl Mulvaney (talk) 18:41, 2 January 2018 (UTC)

There is a clear consensus to change the chart columns from "Possession, Sale, Transport, Cultivation" to "Recreational, Medical, Cultivation".

Should we change the chart columns from "Possession, Sale, Transport, Cultivation" to "Recreational, Medical, Cultivation"? Goonsquad LCpl Mulvaney (talk) 07:43, 9 April 2018 (UTC)
It doesn't make much sense that Alaska is highlighted as legal on the map, considering the other US states are not subject to the same individual breakdown of state by state legality. Drawing a dichotomy between Alaska and the mainland US implies that it's illegal in all other states - and also negates the fact that in Alaska, it is still federally illegal.
Seeing as this is by country, Alaska should be changed to red. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 62.232.198.69 (talk) 09:03, 10 May 2018 (UTC)
On my current browser (Firefox 59)sorting by "recreational" causes the table to populate with several rows of errors between North Korea and Austria. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Antwan718 (talk • contribs) 15:11, 24 May 2018 (UTC)
