A: Additions to this article must meet the criteria for inclusion, and must include a reliable source proving such. Artist web pages, manufacturer web pages, and other self-published sources are not acceptable.
Q: What are the criteria for inclusion?
A: It is not enough for an artist to be notable and to have played Gibson guitars. The list would include thousands of players. Neither is it enough to simply have a Gibson "signature" model. The artist's use of Gibson guitars in and of itself must be notable through influence on the musical world and/or contribution to popularity of Gibson guitar models. Again, that notability must be proven with a reliable source.
Q: Can I request that an artist be added?
A: You may add names to the bulleted list of requests on this Talk page if you cannot find reliable sources. An interested volunteer may look for sources; however, there is no guarantee that someone will have the time, or that a source can be found.

Lindsey Buckingham played a 1974 Les Paul Custom in Alpine White finish, which he acquired from a Guitar Center store in Hollywood, CA, in 1974, shortly before he was recruited to join Fleetwood Mac.[1] He used this Les Paul on the Fleetwood Mac 1975 album as well as most of the sessions for Rumours, before retiring the guitar in 1978 after it was discovered the guitar's humbuckers were not to his specifications. Just thought he should be added to the list given that Rumours is one of the biggest selling albums of all time and Lindsey Buckingham is a profound guitarist.
Dave Mustain he needs to be added to the M list. He's a legend in the metal community. Thank you S. Shepherd Sheila ss Shepherd (talk) 13:04, 2 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
