Perhaps we should include information about the Center for the Arts Campus. I feel its usually overlooked in articles or descriptions of Grant MacEwan. I do realize that they intend to move the campus soon but the campus I feel is notable enough to be in this article as I believe it is the original campus. I don't know where do we get the 40,791 from? I couldn't find it everywhere on GMU website and the Internet.
1) from this - http://www.macewan.ca/web/Prospective/home/DetailsPage.cfm?ID=1824 "More than 5000 students are enrolled full-time in MacEwan's degree programs, representing nearly half the student body.", so Grant MacEwan's student body is around 10,000-11,000 from that statement.
2) From the SA Election result, we have 9547, 14%, and we have around 1300 people voted for the SA President, a little math and the eligible full and part time students can vote is around 9300, which is pretty close to the 9547 number.

any ideas guy?
I suspect the 40,000 figure also included "extension" students taking optional courses not in pursuit of either a certificate or a diploma. I think it could seem misleading to equate someone taking a gardening workshop on "Attracting bees and butterflies" with a full-time diploma student. I'd say the above calculations (9,300 - 10,000) seem well enough supported to publish. — Preceding unsigned comment added by JeexxyBeaxxy (talk • contribs) 08:10, 30 October 2021 (UTC)
Well GMAC is rebranding its name as MacEwan University so maybe title of the article should be changed? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Onthatchange (talk • contribs) 05:17, 15 December 2012 (UTC)
Done after no objections received (non-controversial). Hwy43 (talk) 20:55, 27 January 2013 (UTC)
As per the details at PrairieU.ca, MacEwan refuses to acknowledge that its administrators use psychological abuse to manage the institution, and continue to cover up that abuse. PrairieU.ca details one such abuse, with contemporary records and correspondence supporting the allegation. The information on PrairieU.ca is protected by academic freedom, MacEwan's Academic Freedom policy, the Alberta Public Interest Disclosure Act, and the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms. A researcher on Academic Mobbing commented on PrairieU:
From my point of view, as a researcher of mobbing, what you have done is set forth a case study of an academic mobbing, and you've done it in a calm, reasoned, balanced way, with documentary evidence in support of your account and analysis. I had, of course, read your succinct, 10-page summary earlier. Seeing it now, in the company of the administrators' emails, makes it the more compelling. I think to any outside observer, the case against you would look very thin -- a pumpkin, for heaven's sake!
Once your website is publicly available, it will be found useful, I'm confident, to other professors against whom administrators have mounted a collective campaign, because they'll recognize in their own experience events and developments similar to what happened to you -- including a faculty association and CAUT declining to get involved. (Original email available from PrairieU author.)
This information is a part of MacEwan and pertinent to the public. MacEwan may not like information on the abuse becoming public, but then they should act to address the abuse internally and with the victim. Their action to remove the section is indicative of ongoing problems. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 198.48.134.135 (talk) 15:26, 10 April 2016 (UTC)
In light of some significant changes to the university's campus plan and structure (mostly, efforts to consolidate the multiple campuses into one), I have revised one of the sections to mention Campus and Former Campuses. I also made edits to data to reflect the current number of students. Worrypower (talk) 21:44, 1 February 2020 (UTC)
