Matthew was not born in Uvalde, TX. He says he was, but he wasn't. He moved there at a fairly young age, and didn't even live there that long.
I am removing the mention of criticism from Rep. Boebert and Breitbart News. While it's important to maintain WP:NPOV, it seems like pretty generic criticism of gun safety measures made by gun rights activists. There's no mention of the politicians and advocacy groups that responded positively to his speech. Balon Greyjoy (talk) 08:05, 14 June 2022 (UTC)
I'm not sure why some of the citations on this page include quotes; I'm removing them from the citations of non-contentious assertions. Balon Greyjoy (talk) 08:12, 14 June 2022 (UTC)
While reading the article, I had some problems with the titles:
2002 to 2011: Romantic comedies and professional expansion
What exactly is "professional expansion" for an actor? The title sounds a little awkward, and I think it should be modified to a term more tailored to the acting profession. Professional growth? Still doesn't sound right...
2011 to 2014: Established actor
I would argue that McConaughey became an established actor by the early 2000s. During the 2011 to 2014 period, Matthew McConaughey won the Academy Award for Best Actor. Only 84 people in human history have ever won this award. Does it take winning an Academy Award to become an established actor?
2015 to present day: Career fluctuations
The content in this section is not really describing "fluctuations." Where are the details about ups and downs, which is what the title implies?
I attempted the following edits:
2001 to 2011: Romantic comedies and the McConaissance
2011 to 2014: Critical acclaim and Lincoln spokesperson
2015 to present day: Mixed reviews
but they were reverted as being "not encyclopedic."
What precisely does it mean to be encyclopedic? Should not the titles in an encyclopedia be an accurate and appropriate reflection of the content they describe? UpDater (talk) 15:22, 18 July 2022 (UTC)
As the topic says, hes acting in sex and the city should be added to the wikipedia page on films where hes known off. 2001:14BB:A0:AAB3:A8E8:239E:F5BB:5ECD (talk) 19:55, 6 March 2023 (UTC)
