False Information in 'Defenders Of The Realm' Section[edit]

"Reptile also appeared on the animated television show Mortal Kombat: Defenders of the Realm where he lead an attack on earthrealm with other Zaterrans. He battled with Jax and dripped acid on the latter's mechanical arms breaking them and causing Jax to lose his confidence. Jax later defeated Reptile in Mortal Kombat thereby regaining his confidence. In the show Reptile bares an appearance similar to the Spider-Man villain Chameleon and the Harry Potter villain Voldemort."

This is actually not true at all, since the episode in question clearly states that he is the Zaterrans' "new leader" and has a different name. The other main characters acknowledge this. Sonya refers to him as reptile, but only in the sense of calling him "a" reptile. Cannonically, the animated series follows the first movie, and in this animated series and episode, they acknowledge that the "real" Reptile was killed in that film.

This should be fixed.

Fast Forceball[edit]

Reptile was capable of using this move in MKSM.

Zaterra in Conquest[edit]

I am editing the TV series paragraph to reflect Zaterra. Contrary to what is posted, the name of the realm is mentioned repeatedly in Conquest, from Reptile's debut in TWISTED TRUTH throughout the allegiance of the Zaterrans with Kreeya in IN KOLD BLOOD. The episodes are available on the Net to confirm this. AtenRa 16:38, 19 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Reptile's images[edit]

They need more spacing

De Evolution Theory[edit]

The article says there is no proof of the fan idea he is de-evolving, but in the krypt of one game you could unlock a picture with a form from every game titled Reptile's De-evolution.

Right, and the fact that he is becoming more bestial not only in appearance but in personality as well has no bearing on this.... The S 05:09, 12 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

POV Alert[edit]

Some guy keeps putting "Reptile is a POPULAR character" at the beggining of the page. I don't know about you but the popular part sounds like a fanboy opinion and we all know fanboy opinions are frowned upon here. Is it vandalism? I've reverted it 2 times. "Vandalism is a POPULAR pasttime", especially on Wiki. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.252.110.14 (talk) 06:09, 4 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Reptile and Khameleon[edit]

How come there's no mention of Khameleon or what happened between them in MK3? Her Armageddon bio also revealed that he ended up betraying her in the end. I think that's a relevant part of Reptile's storyline. Is there a reason it was removed? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.185.50.199 (talk) 16:00, 14 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

> as a contrast to Scorpion's original red... color...[edit]

Lol, what? 19:59, 30 January 2009 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 193.242.114.164 (talk)

He was originally red, that's what the book says. If you look you'll notice in interviews regarding Kitana the outfit for her was also red. It's an easier color for programmers to palette swap in stop motion.--Kung Fu Man (talk) 20:02, 30 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Er, I know. I just thought that reptile's green color was a mix between yellow (Scorp) and blue (Sub) colors, but not a contrast to red and blue. It's more than likely, especially if remember that Reptile actually WAS mix between Scorpion and Sub-Zero (he had special moves of both of them).
And please sorry for my really bad english -- it isn't my native language, so I have some problems with it. 193.242.114.164 (talk) 10:58, 31 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Rated 25th Awesomest Hidden Character by UGO.com[edit]

It comments that it takes one out of eight times for a shadow to appear before the moon, and talks about how the main part which made MK likable was its secrets. Separate enough info. for placement in the article or redundant? http://www.ugo.com/games/the-25-awesomest-hidden-characters Sincerely Subzerosmokerain (talk) 04:45, 22 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

A great article to use as a source for almost everything games-related in this article, and Shang Tsung's too[edit]

The "overhaul" cleanup, what exactly happened, and why[edit]

[2]

Excuse me "isn't necessary"? Let's see, line after the line of changes:

And that's just in his character infobox. Then there is mess in the text: very detailed game guide stuff (how to unlock him in the game, like if it was something essential, instead of saying: "Reptile is an unlockable hostile character that can't be played"), randomly places categories (instead of being sorted alphabetically), and so on. So... Come on! --194.145.185.229 (talk) 12:55, 11 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Oh and also really go and see this GamesRadar article that is linked just above. --194.145.185.229 (talk) 12:55, 11 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I was asked by an IP to nominate this at GAR for missing citations and a short reception section. I don't quite agree with the second point (I'm against inflation of the broadness criterion), but the article does need to be cited properly and merge / rewrite single sentence paragraphs. —Femke 🐦 (talk) 08:17, 11 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Delist I support delisting too. The writing and citations just aren't GA quality. Maybe it can be resolved, but that will be up to editors who care enough to try. Shooterwalker (talk) 12:48, 17 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
