Since 2011, the IPA pronunciation guide has said it's pronounced with a "u" sound as in "bud," thus rendering it "cunts." That's clearly wrong. Done, mostly. Not sure why he was used sparingly by the White Sox. Respectfully disagree with the suggestion about "White Sox organization" vs. major league team. Organization generally refers to the MLB team as well as its minor league affiliates, so that would make the sentence unclear. "Synch up" means that the players play well together. As short for "synchronize", it's a tad informal, but as a direct quote I think it's understandable and acceptable. Regarding the MOS rule regarding numbers less than ten, you're right in general but there are exceptions. Where are you referring to? Will look for a free image.
