In the episode where Dr Cox rides the ambulance with the annoying lady, he and the annoying lady are clearly wearing NJ EMT Patchs. I can't remember the episode, maybe a scrubs expert would? Thelude

Why is it origional research? If it another state is referenced to in the show to rule it out, then they can be listed. The following states have been ruled out because the characters have referred to them in a way that establishes that SH is not in the same state:

Connecticut, Flordia, Pennsylvania, Hawaii, Texas, Ohio

Information for Where Sacred Heart is NOT is original research derived frm the same locale as the other research on the show. Where as many seem required to place the hospital in California, evidence for where it is likely not should be presented to determine the final probable location through a process of elimination. Information may need notation of specific episodes to satisfy criteria.

Of the states which can be gurranteed as a NOT location for SH is Minnesota. This information is from the fact there would not have been as much drama regarding Dr. Clock's move to Minnesota. Let us also not forget she had to fly there. Dr Clock also established SH in the Central Time Zone due to the time difference between her local and her mother's local time in Greenland. This is one of the few direct, overt references to a location for SH's locale.

Locations for where Sacred Heart may or may not be shout be limited to references made by the staff and their actions. References such as "they got a pizza at a certain resturaunt and there is a sign they drve by only in california" should be ommitted as they are simply a matter of where the show is filmed and nothing to do with where the show may be set. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Ga1lyons (talk • contribs)

As far as I can see Sacred Heart's location is a deliberate ambiguity, like the location of Springfield (The Simpsons)? (see Springfield's state (The Simpsons)) The whole location section needs trimming down. It dominates the article and, being a list of unconnected references, scans poorly. • Exterior shots on the show reveal very flat land with palm trees and other features of hotter climates.

deleted from location list as this doesnt say anything for the actual location, and is facutally inaccurate when viewing the series.

• It ihas been established that Dr. Cox is an avid Detroit Red Wings Fan. Although it is extremely possible that Cox is an out of town fan or used to live in Michigan, it is possible that he is simply rooting for his home team.--deleted as it states itself why it should not be given a serious consideration for a location of hospital.
• In Episode 5.24, “My Transition,” J.D. takes his new love interest on a date at the beach, implying that the show is set near a coastal area. --again does not give evidence. I have friends in Utah who live on a beach.
• In Episode 5.10, “Her Story II,” J.D. implies that the city has a Chinatown. Given the evidence that the city is likely in California, this could point to San Francisco or Los Angeles, which both have large Chinatowns.--removed as the list of substantial Chinatowns in the United States is quite large.
• In episode 4.09, “My Malpractical Decision,” Turk reveals his new cell phone number to be (916) CALL-TUR. The area code 916 corresponds to the metropolitan area of Sacramento, which contradicts other clues about the show's location. Many fans have pointed out, however, that the area code for cell phones can correspond to where the phone was purchased, implying that Turk may have bought his phone in the Sacramento area and brought it to Sacred Heart's home city. This is also because this phone number is a real phone number bought by the producers and callers have reached members of the cast. In addition, the cellular device itself could have been bought anywhere in the world (if it was a GSM phone) and connected to a local cellular service provider, which would assign the actual dialing number according to customer's calling area choice.---Gives own reasons why it should not be listed.
• In Episode 1.11, “My Own Personal Jesus,” there are allusions to Miller Park being right next to the hospital. Turk is also within running distance of the park. There is a Joaquin Miller Park in Oakland and a Miller Park in Sacramento. But a song written especially for the episode claims that there were "eleven drive-by shootings" in the city on one night, a possible reference to gang warfare associated with Los Angeles.---deleted as there are numerable Miller Parks

I think where it's not, is too much speculation. There can be a case for every place mentioned. Here's one for Philly, PA. There (was) a Sacred Heart in Philadelphia, patches on the EMT uniforms sometimes are listes AS N.J. and Sacred Heart is a frequent drop off for injuries in South Jersey, a Miller Park is about 15 minutes away from the Sacred Heart in Philly, located in Delaware County, PA. Kelso has family in Monroeville, Pennsylvania and he played baseball in Altoona, PA. Give me any other city in the U.S., and I can do just the same thing. ---CPL Radar

just removed the following items form list, for reasons given-

• In Episode 1.11, "My Own Personal Jesus," nearby Miller Park is an important plot element. This isn't referring to real life Miller Park of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, because Dr. Clock moved from Sacred Heart to Millwaukee- there are lots of miller parks, and the one here is a baseball park, not an actual park
• In Episode 3.09, “My Dirty Secret,” When J.D. is asked when a particular T.V. show is on, he says its on at 9PM Central and 8PM Mountain. It is strange that he would omit Pacific time, which is the hospital's suspected area.- just not very relevant, doesn't say anything
• In Episode 5.15, “My Extra Mile,” Dr. Cox says that they are giving Tastykakes away. This brand of snack cake is sold mostly around the Philadelphia metropolitan area, however it is also sold in Northern California.- so its sold in phila, and california, and all over the country, means nothing
• In one episode, Carla and Turk discuss if Carla's mother will live with them when they get married, and Turk says that if she ever walked in on him in the bathroom, she would get a "trip to Flor-i-da," suggesting that Sacred Heart is in a state far from Florida.- hes referring to sending her to an old folks home

Im a bit confused why a fictitous hospital is the main page and the real hospitals are on a seperate page. The name of this article should really be Sacred heart hospital (fictitious) or something to that effect.. Really the most well known real hospital should be the main page or it should go straight to the disambiguation page. A fake hospital on a fake tv show is way less important then any of the other options for what this page could lead too. Im not even sure fiction should be in the encyclopedia. If a show has a cat named george bush.. do we link to the cat as the main article and george bush on a seperate page.. seems kinda silly -Tracer9999 (talk) 22:47, 20 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

We should merge sacred heart hospital with the scrubs tv series page as recommended by the last AFD.
