NPOV and the article structure[edit]

The typical structure of an article on Unions on Wikipedia consists of information about their history, structure, leadership, membership, and areas covered . It does not consist of a blow by blow list of actions they have won. All but three edits to this article have been made by someone that has declared a conflict of interest with regards to this subject. This has unfortunately lead to an article that reads like an advertisement piece for the organisation it covers. At the very least, the following changes should be made.

Hi there, sorry for not seeing this many months earlier.

You'll appreciate that UVW is not a typical union, has a quite short history, an undeveloped informal structure, and is only recently diversifying its activities beyond a tried-tested method of winning basic gains for groups of low-wage BAME/migrant service workers.

Therefore I will be able to overcome the blow-by-blow focus in due course, starting very soon.

I think it'll be quite difficult to avoid the "advertisement piece" feel, even if a significant amount of new info is included.

Open to suggestions and looking forward to your response. — Preceding unsigned comment added by CarlosatUVW (talkcontribs) 17:13, 28 July 2020 (UTC)Reply[reply]
