notability-tagged Jan 2010[edit]

Abductive recently prodded this article and Phil Bridger subsequently reverted on the justification that there is a biography of the subject cited in the article. However, it's unclear whether this is really sufficient in this case. A WorldCat search shows that this bio (published 16 years ago) is held by only 16 instituions world-wide. For comparison, the vanity-published book "Off the Wall" (which has been discussed here before) is held by more than 4 times as many. The article doesn't offer much else that clearly demonstrates notability. It probably should be brought to AfD if additional material cannot be found. It needs to be expanded to include his important pupils. If none can be mentioned, there is little evidence of notability. JFW | T@lk 20:43, 14 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
