Chopin Year

Created by EleniXDD (talk). Self-nominated at 13:24, 27 February 2024 (UTC). Post-promotion hook changes for this nom will be logged at Template talk:Did you know nominations/Chopin Year; consider watching this nomination, if it is successful, until the hook appears on the Main Page.

Unfortunately, given that the article was nominated as a new creation, and only three types of articles (new creation/5x expansion/newly-promoted GAs) can be nominated, it's not as simple as renominating when you're available. Either the article has to be expanded fivefold within seven days, or most practically, be promoted to GA status. I will leave the decision to you and Piotrus, but given the state of the article right now, promotion to GA status might be the only way for the article to appear on DYK in the future. @ Narutolovehinata5 Thank you for considering me. I do write on classical music topics but an event in Poland I have never heard of isn't really my cup of tea as a topic. Both Gerda and I have our own projects and are committed to collaborative work elsewhere. I have editing commitments to projects at WP:WikiProject Opera, WP:WikiProject Musical Theatre and WP:WikiProject Women in Red for example. I don't think this topic is of much interest to either of us as it doesn't have an editing focus within the various projects we are working. I also don't want to take the time trying to navigate Polish language media and reference works which this article would need in order to be improved. This would be a project best tackled by someone fluent in the Polish language.4meter4 (talk) 18:09, 9 March 2024 (UTC)
