Article is new enough and long enough. Image is public domain. Article is neutral and well referenced. Hooks are correctly formatted. Tweeked both. I detected no close paraphrasing or copyvios. AGF on offline sources. The organisation of the section on the sinking is confusing and needs reworking. The Alt is fine but the second part of the first hook is not verified by the source used in the article, viz the book excerpt in the NYT which cuts off before discussing Spicer-Simson's role in the Battle for Lake Tanganyika. It needs an extra ref in that respect. Philafrenzy (talk) 13:01, 11 March 2015 (UTC)

CE the sinking section and added another reference to back up Geoffrey Spicer-Simson's participation in the Battle for Lake Tanganyika. -- Esemono (talk) 00:34, 12 March 2015 (UTC)

  • The first paragraph under Early History lacks a cite, per DYK rules. Yoninah (talk) 20:33, 1 April 2015 (UTC)
  • Rectified, added the link -- Esemono (talk) 23:39, 1 April 2015 (UTC)
