Source: "It takes all ways to make a ballet. The origins of Jerome Robbins's “Other Dances” are almost unexpected. It was created as a piece d'occasion for James Lipton's gala evening for the benefit of the New York Public Library on May 19 of this year. But the piece has outlived, triumphantly, the occasion... It was so Suecessful at its first gala performance that it was almost naturally absorbed into the repertory of American Ballet Theater, the first new, or comparatively new, Robbins ballet the company had received since “Les Noces” in 1965. Now, as Mr. Robbins is one of the leaders of Ballet Theater's archrival, New York City Ballet, this was very generous." ([1])

Interesting ballet on fine sources, no copyvio obvious. I am not happy with the hook mentioning two companies, while so much could be said about the piece (piano music by Chopin, Pas de deux, difficulty to maintain harmonious mood, premiere at the MET, names of soloists which would carry the Eastern notion ...). You could just say "soon became repertoire of two companies", if at all. - I suggest you read the article once more, for matching singular/plural, and word repetition (gala ...). --Gerda Arendt (talk) 07:46, 10 April 2021 (UTC)
