Hello User:Cannolis! I just wanted to talk with you about the reversion of several edits that I recently made to the article Posthumanis. In looking over the article, the block quote about transhumanism seems out of place, given that posthumanism and transhumanism are not considered philosophical equivalents. Moreover, I think that without proper mention of Haraway, the article does not fully address the cultural significance of the posthuman discourse. I've chosen to undo the reversion because I think that the article appears incomplete without them. If you would like to suggest any other changes, please be sure to let me know. Thank you. --ObscuraScientia (talk) 14:39, 12 October 2015 (UTC)
I am trying to understand use of the word "grossly" in your response to my edit request on bagels. Could you possibly expand, or offer one or more specific suggestions for improvement?
Seamusdemora (talk) 06:29, 11 September 2015 (UTC)
I wanted to make the point that not everything called a bagel is really a bagel - even if it is labelled as such by a large company. I thought one way to get that point across was to call out Paneras' bagels (only two of them actually) for what they really are - rolls. And the "Varieties" section seemed a good location for that point.
If adding to the reader's understanding is the standard, then how do pizza bagels and Montreal bagels gain admission?
Not trying be argumentative, I really would like to understand.

As a Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP) your certification proves that you have the comprehensive set of skills to perform a particular IT job role, such as database administrator or enterprise messaging administrator. MCITP certifications are based on older versions of Microsoft technologies, and will decline in value as companies move to newer versions of our products. Take advantage of special upgrades to earn a Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) certification, and protect your investment in certifications.
Most MCITP certifications will be retired by July 31, 2014.
The Microsoft Certified IT Professional credential helps validate that an individual has the comprehensive set of skills necessary to perform a particular job role, such as database administrator or enterprise messaging administrator.[11] To obtain a MCITP certification, you must first obtain one or more prerequisite MCTS certifications, and then pass the qualifying "PRO" exam(s). Most MCITP certifications were retired by July 31, 2014.

Thank you EUt:Cannolis. I realise my sanskrit translation isn't 100% and was hoping that section you deleted would be barnstormed to completion. Some I had right and some I didn't. I'll leave it with no further intention to transcribe, being more familiar with Wikipedias' guidlines. I later found the Devanagari script section in the language drop-down and realise I was in way over my head. [Otherwise] 'set right' by JB and others, I'll refrain from making changes on talk sections until invited. I hope my message here is correct. I have that disease of not wanting to read, also, due to suffocating propensities [and] so much is lost in wordiness. The added excitement of finding Wikipedia and its' inner workings contributing [to that] apparent overwhelm. Happy policing. [[[User:Sudaama90|Sudaama90]] (talk]) 12:25, 18 October 2015 (UTC) |

Could you participate in the closure of the request on Djokovic talk page. I think there's an obvious consensus. You suggested an edit, as it's a proposal of mine. I agreed and the third major contributor who initially opposed has entered that to the article. Since then another editor who opposes has appeared, but he doesn't have valid positions, nor sources. I'm having some doubts, and I would like it if an uninvolved editor could do the closure.194.152.253.47 (talk) 10:45, 15 October 2015 (UTC)
Here we go, now an editor says that the formal closure request is done because the edit request is closed. I mean, I hope you see that some random person editing it in that blue square doesn't make it closed. If that is the case, I can go and close every other request with the same explanation "no consensus.". I will still contact him to see what he has to say. Why had he closed that edit request. 141.136.228.115 (talk) 22:16, 20 October 2015 (UTC)
I would just like to notify you that this RS won't be entered in the article although no sources oppose it. I feel that's against what Wikipedia stands. The source you pointed out is already incorporated in the 1st source. It doesn't oppose it as you said. Some users decided to prevent "Croatian propaganda" enters the article with personal attacks against me. I only do not understand to why they are calling Djokovic himself to be spreading "Croatian propaganda". I don't think they are doing this from objective reasons but from emotional. I don't suppose you would like to get in the middle of this to defend a RS? I hope you understand why I use IP's, since those high tension discussions often finish up like this. But I feel those hard discussions where you have to fight against subjective opposition are also a part of editing Wikipedia. How can Wikipedia be a good source of info if we let those high tension questions be resolved in the favor of the bigger subjective group. I can't describe how wrong is a reason to deny Djokovic himself to push your POV. It would be like Djokovic said "I'm Serbian" and I came and said to his face, no you'r not! It's amazing what kid of behavior can go far on Wikipedia. 141.136.216.242 (talk) 09:30, 24 October 2015 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 141.138.44.84 (talk)

First, the edits I made to multiple pages changing "Juris Doctorate" to "Juris Doctor" were constructive regardless of any semantic disagreement we may have over the need to include the word "degree" after the latter phrase. A "Juris Doctorate" does not exist; it is a misnomer and its inclusion in any page on this site is in error. Thus any change of "Juris Doctorate" to "Juris Doctor" contributes positively to the accuracy of a page and should not be disturbed.
Second, the word "degree" does not need to immediately follow "Juris Doctor" for the term to be correct. It would be correct say "I earned my Ph.D." just as it would also be correct to say "I earned my Ph.D. degree." The same principle applies to the "Juris Doctor." Additionally, the term "Juris Doctor" is often abbreviated to "J.D." or "JD," both of which may be used correctly without the inclusion of "degree" immediately afterward. The term "Juris Doctor" refers to the degree itself rather than the holder.
As evidence of my second point, please see this page, which shows the terminology used by Harvard Law School: http://hls.harvard.edu/dept/academics/degree-programs/. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 152.3.43.230 (talk) 21:35, 13 November 2015 (UTC)
Dear Cannolis,
I received an email on Oct 11 indicating that a change had been made to the article on Bagels. I just returned from a trip abroad, and checked the status of my proposed edit, and the Bagels article in general. As nearly as I could follow all of this, you had approved my proposed edit with a correction, but I could find nothing in the actual article. More confusingly, our discussion here on your Talk page seems to have vanished - at least I could not find in the active section, nor in your archives.
Can you tell me what has happened?

This is with regard to your reply to the comment posted by user 'Alindra', requesting deletion of the 'Controversies' section as it wrongfully maligns the reputation of this well-known, world's largest school as per the [2] Guinness Book of Records.
Thank you at the outset for pointing out the anomalies in the user's approach in editing the article. With reference to your queries, I wish to present some references which present the facts:
1. With reference to the allegation that CMS founder Dr Jagdish Gandhi stopped a Pakistani school from participating in 2014 International Students' Cricket Premier League, it may be noted that during that time, tensions were running high between India and Pakistan because of the beheading of some Indian soldiers at the India-Pakistan border. Due to the security concerns prevailing during that period, especially when anti-Pakistan sentiment was high, the school management was not sure if it was the right time for Pakistani children to come to India. Later, it was found that the student team from Pakistan was also denied visas by the Indian Embassy to travel to India. CMS is the only school in the world ever to receive the UNESCO Prize for Peace Education (in 2002) for its work to unite warring countries in order to secure a safe future for the children the world over. As well as its pen friends program (“Aao Dosti Karein”) with children in Pakistani schools, CMS has invited, welcomed and hosted a large number of delegations from Pakistani schools over the years.[1][2][3][4][5][6][7][8]
2. The allegation about the school hiking the fee gives a partial and imbalanced picture. The full press release at 'New academic session, new fee structure' of The Times of India says, "With 20 branches, City Montessori School (CMS) has hiked the nursery, Montessori and kindergarten (KG) fees by 16% compared to last year. The school management has increased the fee for other classes by less than 10%. " The fact about the school increasing the fee only by less than 10% (8% to be more accurate) has been hidden from the material on the ‘Controversies’ page. CMS is probably the only school which is so transparent about its fee structure that it publishes a dossier every year clearly stating the new fee for various classes for the session. No other school probably publishes the fee dossier for the benefit of its parents and the public.
3. With regard to CMS refusing admission to 13 poor children under the RTE Act (Right to Education Act) and the contempt notice by the Allahabad High Court in September, 2015, the fact is that the school had approached the Supreme Court of India to appeal against the decision of the Allahabad High Court, and to make such an appeal for a ‘stay’ against a lower court’s order is legal under Indian law. The school itself had approached the High Court first against the directive of the Basic Education Officer in April 2015 to admit 31 poor children as that directive was not in accordance with the legal state rules for the implementation of RTE Act. It is not unlawful anywhere in the world to approach the courts against the directive which are not found in accordance with law. Once the Supreme Court's directive came, the school immediately admitted the said 13 children the very next day, as is evident from the press release here.[9] The matter is still sub-judice before the Supreme Court with the last order of the court saying that the 13 schools should be admitted forthwith as an interim measure so that their education does not suffer, however, should there be found vacancies in other nearer schools in the vicinity of the residences of the children (as claimed by the appellant), the Supreme Court may order the shifting of these children to those nearby schools.
4. With regard to the matter of slapping of a student by a CMS teacher causing him to bleed from one ear and a subsequent filing of a police complaint against him, the fact is, a thorough enquiry was conducted by the CMS management in the case and it was found that though the teacher had indeed slapped the student. While CMS does not condone the action of the teacher the behavior of the student (snatching the lunch-box of a much younger student and throwing it) leaves much to be desired. The student later apologized to the teacher for his behaviour and the parents withdrew the police case against the teacher. The teacher in question also submitted his clarification and an apology. The school has a zero-tolerance policy towards corporal punishment and this is strictly enforced.
5. Regarding the case of a student of CMS Mahanagar Campus I committing suicide allegedly due to harassment from his school principal, the case is still sub-judice. No judgement has been delivered and the culpability of the Principal has not been established. She must be held to be innocent until proven guilty, as per Wikipedia rule which says, "A person accused of a crime is presumed innocent until proven guilty and convicted by a court of law. For relatively unknown people, editors must seriously consider not including material in any article suggesting that the person has committed, or is accused of committing, a crime unless a conviction is secured.[6] If different judicial proceedings result in seemingly contradictory judgements that do not override each other,[7] refrain from using pithy descriptors or absolutes and instead use more explanatory information."
I sincerely hope the above clarifications are sufficient to establish that the 'Controversies' section has been inserted with the intent to malign the reputation of a world-renowned school. Therefore, it is my earnest request to kindly remove the section from the page of 'City Montessori School' and oblige.

I was crestfallen and dismayed you reverted my extremely funny edit to the JJ Abrams article, and threatened to block me from further editing.
Wikipedia needs to balance the needs of people who view it as a valuable information resource, with those who view it as a highly entertaining MMORPG.
There are a lot of people who once edited Wikipedia seriously, but who, after figuring out the management exerted complete editorial control over content by gaming a deliberately massive and opaque set of rules, decided to take it a lot less seriously.
As one former Wikipedia editor opined...
"The Wikipedia is the massive, structured blog of an online cult. The cult is dedicated to the agglomeration of information and disinformation (i.e. data) and its classification (in the form of articles). It also revolves around the personality of Jimmy Wales and his "disciples" and, in this sense, it is a personality cult and a pseudo-religion. The only thing the Wikipedia is not is an encyclopedia."
Have a nice day.

Hi Canolis. I'm the user that suggested the change in the first sentence of the Daniel Holtzclaw article's first line about the black women and criminal records. I know the connection and relevance between the women's criminal records and Daniel Hotlzclaw. I know he targeted them. My issue was that it was the very first line of the story, when it could be placed elsewhere. My problem was that it was on the first line, and looked to me to be a shaming tactic towards the victims. At least, it reads like that to me. I can't simplify it anymore, it reads like a shaming tactic. Is it really that much of a bother to alter the paragraph so black women reading this won't feel that this is victim shaming? Is it really that much trouble? Just one line??? Thank you for reading this.

You are receiving this message because you have listed yourself on the list of volunteers at Wikipedia:Dispute resolution noticeboard/Volunteering#List of the DRN volunteers.
First, assistance is needed at DRN. We have recently closed a number of cases without any services being provided for lack of a volunteer willing to take the case. There are at least three cases awaiting a volunteer at this moment. Please consider taking one.
Second, this is a volunteer roll call. If you remain interested in helping at DRN and are willing to actively do so by taking at least one case (and seeing it through) or helping with administrative matters at least once per calendar month, please add your name to this roll call list. Individuals currently on the principal volunteer list who do not add their name on the roll call list will be removed from the principal volunteer list after June 30, 2016 unless the DRN Coordinator chooses to retain their name for the best interest of DRN or the encyclopedia. Individuals whose names are removed after June 30, 2016, should feel free to re-add their names to the principal volunteer list, but are respectfully requested not to do so unless they are willing to take part at DRN at least one time per month as noted above. No one is going to be monitoring to see if you live up to that commitment, but we respectfully ask that you either live up to it or remove your name from the principal volunteer list.

Strictly, that only applies to stuff like printer's pie ("gfyttyv uivyutrrfgfc") or stuff that is otherwise incomprehensible ("steak rotifer flanges overcasting breadfruit commonwealth"). It is important to remove the reference to the brave Italian soldiers who fought in that campaign as the "macaroni boys". It is derogatory and unnecessary and adds nothing to the Analysis section. Secondly, it would be right and historically accurate to include a brief statement about the surrender of the Greek forces to the Italians and the terms of that surrender. After all, the armistice was signed by the Greeks to both the Germans and the Italians. Why mention only the German armistice and not the Italian one a few days later? The omission is rather odd.
I have tried several times to rectify the above but my good faith edits are constantly reverted because I am suspected of being a sock puppet of a previous banned editor called AnnalesSchool. I didn't realize that Buck Henry's character in "The Man Who Fell To Earth" wasn't a viable suspect in one of the inspirations for Professor Farnsworth in Futurama. The character did wear very thick glasses and was named Farnsworth, and also worked with a man from another world.. I just thought it might've been helpful. I apologize if I came off as curt or flip in any way.
sincerely,

Hello, Cannolis. Voting in the 2017 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23.59 on Sunday, 10 December. All users who registered an account before Saturday, 28 October 2017, made at least 150 mainspace edits before Wednesday, 1 November 2017 and are not currently blocked are eligible to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.
The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
If you wish to participate in the 2017 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 18:42, 3 December 2017 (UTC)
Hello! I did not make these changes. 37.26.147.141 (talk) 19:59, 1 January 2018 (UTC)
I see you recently accepted a pending change to May 29. I looked for a source for this date of birth in the Gregg Sulkin that I could add to the DOY page and it was unsupported by any reliable source there either. These are the types of additions that have put the WP:DOY under pending changes protection.
You're probably not aware of this change, but Days of the Year pages are no longer exempt from WP:V and direct sources are required for additions. For details see the WikiProject Days of the Year style guide. I've gone ahead and un-accepted this edit and backed it out.
As a pending changes patroller, please do not accept additions to day of year pages where no direct source has been provided on that day of year page. The burden to provide sources for additions to these pages is on the editor who adds or restores material to these pages. Thank you. Toddst1 (talk) 13:21, 27 August 2018 (UTC)

Why was the reason for dismissal of Andrew Wakefield's libel case removed from the Andrew Wakefield page? Given the nature of the controversy surrounding his work, the reason for dismissal is important. It was not dismissed on the basis of the lack of evidence or some other reason, but simply because the judge found the court lacked jurisdiction over a British journal. I saw u edited on talk page of MS Dhoni. The article is protected so I want u to do a edit, in early int career or personal life part - during mid 2000s to circa 2010, Dhoni kept long, orange color dyed hairs inspiring from John Abraham's long hair look from Dhoom film of early 2000s. During India tour of Pakistan, Pakistani President Parvez Musharraf praised Dhoni hairstyles and asked to do not have haircut. Damon Dash is listed as a spouse in her infobox, when they were never married. Please correct this. Also, Aaliyah's page seems to contain a lot of excessive information. Why is it important for the reader to know her hands were similar to a non notable unnamed aunt or that her grandmother spoiled her as a kid and she had pets in early life? In the education section, it says she considered herself small in stature as an adult, and to me, that could be a part of her public image, but has little to do with education. 2600:1702:2A40:3E40:1910:8850:9EF1:F596 (talk) 23:41, 13 February 2022 (UTC)
Thank you. Though, I don't quite agree that their relationship was unclear. He's been referred to as her boyfriend in the media countless times, despite Aaliyah not confirming it publicly because she liked her privacy and playing coy. Damon himself has acknowledged they dated for a year, so has her brother Rashad who said Damon treated her like a princess and made her happy, in a doc released shortly after death. Regarding the other stuff, I will leave it alone, I guess, since too much information isn't the same as misinformation.2600:1702:2A40:3E40:1910:8850:9EF1:F596 (talk) 00:52, 14 February 2022 (UTC)
I'm just removing all of the duplicate requests, rather than even bothering to answer them. If this keeps up I'll request semi-protection of the talk pages again. Not saying you have to as well, but I don't think answering them is productive. ScottishFinnishRadish (talk) 10:52, 17 March 2022 (UTC)

Your recent editing history at British Union of Fascists shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See the bold, revert, discuss cycle for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.
Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you do not violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. I made a change and you are saying it’s false. I’m from Belfast and the information I’m adding is correct. The proof is on the Parades Commission website that is run by the Northern Ireland Assembly (government).
The fact you are telling me im wrong is ludicrous considering I live in Belfast. Plopperman (talk) 10:35, 20 April 2022 (UTC)
Hello! This is wrt the GQ article from earlier. I would highly recommemd reading it yourself because it's not ethical to keep it the way it's phrased. The journalist in the article admits to getting Harry alone against the will of his management and then attempting to pressure him into answering questions. At the very least, it should be clear in the article that these were the circumstances in which he said "I am pretty sure I'm not bisexual." But preferably I think it would be best to remove journalism like that. H-influenzae (talk) 22:35, 29 April 2022 (UTC)

Hi Cannolis, thanks for your feedback on Cornville, Maine. Sorry for breaking the reference, which was unintentional. Wikipedia is a global & trusted platform. But, your information about ayurveda is not completely correct. Your post calling it as "pseudoscience" but it's not true. It's complete science and many famous ayurveda consultants and researchers has already published research papers in various science journals. They are not only managing but treating various disease conditions. I being an ayurveda consultant have witness this. It's very disrespectful for such universal & scientific pathy being called as pseudoscience. By doing so, you are disrespecting all indian ayurveda practitioners who are treating thousands of patients whose health gets deteriorated by side effects of modern allopathy medicine. Even many modern medicine practitioners gets treatment from ayurveda consultants & praise this science which is based on facts & universal truth. Please do your research before you write anything on your platform. You are spreading wrong information about Ayurveda. You are disrespecting Indian Health Science which was there before birth of modern science. I hope you will do your little research and bring changes to it as soon as possible.
