Such a reason is not mentioned in Wikipedia's Guidelines. Also, there are plenty of other games with no release date that have no issues having a Wikipedia article, such as The Crew 2, Everywhere, Beyond Good and Evil 2, etc... Voxel Tycoon has an estimated release date (Q1/Q2 2018), which is sometimes more precise than the games I listed.
