BC and AD are the traditional ways of designating eras. BCE and CE are common in some scholarly texts and in certain topic areas. Either convention may be appropriate for use in Wikipedia articles.

I draw your attention to the following point, in WP:ERA which you have conveniently overlooked: "Do not change the established era style in an article unless there are reasons specific to its content. Seek consensus on the talk page before making the change. Open the discussion under a subhead that uses the word "era". Briefly state why the style is inappropriate for the article in question. A personal or categorical preference for one era style over the other is not justification for making a change." You didn't follow those rules, and, what's more, you ignored the guidelines specified in WP:BRD. Now, please stop trying to inflame matters by your, frankly, ill-tempered comments about the matter. @User:Doug Weller has also made similar coments to mine. I changed the North Carolina Courage founding year and joining year to reflect reality. The Courage were NOT founded in 2016 and did NOT join the league in 2017. Only someone who doesn't know the league would think that. The Courage is the Western New York Flash, but relocated and renamed. If you would have taken half a second to actually look at the Courage page you would see they were founded in 2009 as the Buffalo Flash and were a founding member of the NWSL in 2013. To say the Western New York Flash is a former team is just wrong and ignorant. That would be like saying, in the NFL, the Tennessee Titans joined the NFL in 1997. That would of course be wrong, as they were founded in 1960. Just because you don't know the history, doesn't mean it's wrong. Dsides12 (talk) 17:32, 19 January 2018 (UTC)

Someone who doesn't know the team or the league and who clicks on the North Carolina Courage link will go to the team page and see that they were founded in 2009 as the Buffalo Flash. By you putting up incorrect information of the league site, will cause those people to be confused. My edit is correct and reflects the true history of the club.
