@DRCNSINDIA: I'm not at all familiar with these articles or this subject area, so I can't really respond intelligently about the content of the article. The best way to address disagreements like this is to bring it up on the article's talk page and discuss the change with the editor who reverted you. This is a very common collaborative editing cycle on Wikipedia - you can read more about it at WP:BRD.
You should also avoid saying things like "...should not be changed until messaged by me". Articles on Wikipedia are open to editing by anyone, at any time. Nobody owns or controls a Wikipedia article, or has the ability to dictate the content of it, regardless of who they are or what expertise they may have. Please take a look at WP:OWN for more information on this concept. ‑‑ElHef (Meep?) 17:15, 21 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Question on user talk page

Sir can I make welcome page for new users joined.?

🇮🇳DRCNSINDIA (talk) 11:33, 22 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@DRCNSINDIA: You can! Check out WP:Welcoming committee for more info. I typically make a welcome page for users I create accounts for, but there are users who do quite a bit more. As long as you're willing to assist the new users that you welcome if they have questions about getting started on Wikipedia, go for it! ‑‑ElHef (Meep?) 13:08, 22 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Confirming Request

Hi - I wasn't able to confirm my account creation using email since I use a forwarding address that hides my real email address. (That's why I tend to use Special:EmailUser. Also, I didn't want to confuse you.) Thanks, P,TO 19104 (talk) (contribs) 16:44, 24 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@P,TO 19104: No problem, I've created the account for you. You should have a couple of emails with the account information. Let me know if I can help with anything else! ‑‑ElHef (Meep?) 17:12, 24 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the help! P,TO 19104 (talk) (contribs) 17:13, 24 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Reliable Source

Question

RE: Donovan Mitchell Wiki

I submitted the change "Born September 7, 1996 (age 24) Elmsford, New York"

to Born "September 7, 1996 (age 24) Westchester County, NY"

The main change being that he is born in Westchester County, NY. Below is a reliable source. Donovan and his family published the below information with his former school. How should I go about adding this reliable source?

@Sebbro106: I answered on the article's talk page. ‑‑ElHef (Meep?) 15:37, 28 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

User: KFFOWLER

Orangemike blocked them earlier due to the name similarity to a well known figure but I see they've submitted a confirmation. I am wondering if it turned out to be what the name represents, or "Marie Goodman Hunter" that's in the user's profile. The reason is I am trying to determine if they were writing a promotional autobiography on himself or a paid editor working on his article. thanks Graywalls (talk) 22:49, 12 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Graywalls: As Keith Fowler. If it were a different person, that would rather defeat the purpose of the verification - they would have been instructed to follow the rename instructions in the block notice or create a new account. ‑‑ElHef (Meep?) 23:07, 12 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
