Welcome![edit]

Hello, Hesought, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, your edit to Yosef Ben-Jochannan does not conform to Wikipedia's Neutral Point of View policy (NPOV). Wikipedia articles should refer only to facts and interpretations that have been stated in print or on reputable websites or other forms of media.

There's a page about the NPOV policy that has tips on how to effectively write about disparate points of view without compromising the NPOV status of the article as a whole. If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the New contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, click here to ask for help on your talk page, and a volunteer should respond shortly. Below are a few other good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Questions or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome!  Doug Weller talk 11:12, 16 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia and copyright[edit]

Control copyright icon Hello Hesought, and welcome to Wikipedia. While we appreciate your contributing to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from your sources to avoid copyright or plagiarism issues here.

It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Doug Weller talk 11:12, 16 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

September 2017[edit]

Information icon Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Template:Black Hebrews, without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear to be constructive and has been reverted. If you only meant to make a test edit, please use the sandbox for that. Thank you. Your post to my talk page[edit]

Wikipedia articles are built upon what reliable sources say about a subject. They don't attempt to be "neutral" in the sense I think you mean, they attempt to have a neutral point of view which means that they present various sides of a dispute weighted by how much those sides are represented in reliable sources. Your edits didn't do that and they included some copyright violations, which is one reason I removed them. You also removed some sources while leaving text appearing to be sourced. You're welcome to discuss this on the article talk page. My interest is in making sure that the article complies with our polices, although it may simply be that you wouldn't like them if you read them. I also don't understand why you blanked the template.
