Hi! I just noticed that you have self-nominated for Administrator. Have you read WP:RFAADVICE? To become an admin you must show advanced knowledge of policies, processes, and have extensive experience on the project. For example, most admins require thousands of edits and at least a year of extensive editing history with a proper aptitude. Making a nomination too early in your Wikipedia career can actually hurt future attempts. Being an admin is difficult and serious business - I'm not trying to dissuade your editing of the project, but RFA is one of the embarassing processes that one can go through - if you're not properly positioned, and not properly aware of the requirements, it can be hurtful ES&L 12:39, 30 January 2014 (UTC)
There is no tutorial for RfA. Becoming an admin should never be the one single objective for participating in Wikipedia; we are all primarily here to build an encyclopedia. Therefore the experience needed for doing admin tasks comes from regular editing of articles, and then after several hundred edits, perhaps looking out for vandalism and reverting it. To do that, when you have made at least 200 edits, you could consider enrolling at the Counter Vandalism Academy to learn all about it. To know more about adminship and what is expected, you may wish to read WP:RFAADVICE - all of it - but you probably won't be ready to become an admin for quite a long time. Happy editing! Please don't change the level at Template:Vandalism information. This is automatically kept up to date by a bot, and should not be changed to fit the subjective opinion of an individual editor. JamesBWatson (talk) 21:50, 8 February 2014 (UTC)

Re this edit: the stuff you pointed out was obvious vandalism. Why did you not simply remove it instead of leaving a message about it? Please reply. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 13:11, 16 June 2014 (UTC)
It does not matter whether it was vandalism or some newbie's mistake, it needed deletion.
And what on earth is this rubbish? A) you could not even link to the page in question - category:Wikipedia core topics (note the colon trick to refer to a cat rather than using it), b) you have never touched that page and c) Wavelength's edit was OK - the bad one was done by Innocent Pierre MUNYANKINDI (talk · contribs).
We could argue all day about whether the latter is a vandal or not. Clearly they are a clueless newbie because they thought this is a social networking site. Putting their bio in the wrong place: you call it cluelessness - I calls it vandalism. (I hesitate to say that it is debatable whether your message to Wavelength is cluelessness or trolling.) — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 12:26, 18 June 2014 (UTC)
Wikipedia:Requests for adminship/Soham, a page which you created or substantially contributed to (or which is in your userspace), has been nominated for deletion. Your opinions on the matter are welcome; you may participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/Wikipedia:Requests for adminship/Soham and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You are free to edit the content of Wikipedia:Requests for adminship/Soham during the discussion but should not remove the miscellany for deletion template from the top of the page; such a removal will not end the deletion discussion. Thank you. Bigpoliticsfan (talk) 23:44, 29 March 2017 (UTC)
