Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. Thank you.Jehochman Talk 12:30, 15 January 2008 (UTC)
Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not a mere directory of links nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that exist to attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam policies for further explanations of links that are considered appropriate. If you feel the link should be added to the article, then please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. See the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Those are the only inappropriate link additions. seowiki (talk), December 15, 2010 (UTC)
Please stop adding inappropriate external links to Wikipedia. It is considered spamming and Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or promotion. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, additions of links to Wikipedia will not alter search engine rankings. If you continue spamming, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Thanks for uploading File:Rashard-mendenhall.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.
For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 08:06, 17 November 2010 (UTC)

Thank you for uploading File:Troysmith49ers.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 10:51, 17 November 2010 (UTC)
A file that you uploaded or altered, File:Troysmith49ers.jpg, has been listed at Wikipedia:Possibly unfree files because its copyright status is unclear or disputed. If the file's copyright status cannot be verified, it may be deleted. You may find more information on the file description page. You are welcome to add comments to its entry at the discussion if you are interested in it not being deleted. Thank you. --Drdisque (talk) 20:10, 17 November 2010 (UTC)
Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Calvin Johnson (American football). Your edits appear to constitute vandalism and have been reverted or removed. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. Drdisque (talk) 20:11, 17 November 2010 (UTC)

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, a number of your recent file uploads, such as File:Kyleortondenver.jpg, have been missing information regarding their copyright status. Please note that Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously and that the copyright status of all media files uploaded to Wikipedia must be verifiable by others. If you have questions regarding copyright on Wikipedia, they can be raised at the copyright question page. Thank you. Eagles 24/7 (C) 20:33, 17 November 2010 (UTC)
Please do not remove dead references from articles. They are allowed to stay, and the Wayback Machine may be able to find an archive URL for them that works. Eagles 24/7 (C) 00:58, 19 November 2010 (UTC)
Hi, please do not remove the |accessdate
parameters from references. It is used to show the reader when the reference was last viewed to ensure it is not a dead link. Eagles 24/7 (C) 20:12, 30 November 2010 (UTC)
Again, please do not remove |accessdate
paramaters from references and dead references from articles per WP:LINKROT. This is your last warning. If you continue to ignore my comments, you will be blocked from editing. Eagles 24/7 (C) 01:13, 1 December 2010 (UTC)
In general, it appears that you're wasting your time and energy taking out spaces from the infobox, as those changes do not appear to be affecting the appearance of the infobox. I recommend you visit with User:Killervogel5 before continuing, as he works with those kinds of details a lot. ←Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? carrots→ 21:42, 7 December 2010 (UTC)
Hi again, per WP:MOS please do not shorten years like "1999" to "'99". Thanks, Eagles 24/7 (C) 20:32, 9 December 2010 (UTC)
It seems as though you are ignoring warnings on here that a majority of your edits conflict with WP:MOS (specifically relating to endashes, link rules, references, etc.). It will take me a long time to reverse what you've done. ( Done - your edits were so pervasive, reversing years of WP:MOS application, that I had to do wholesale reverts in most cases to avoid conflicting edit warnings). Generally, your edits are a gigantic waste of time and have no bearing on the actual appearance of articles. 99% of the "extra spaces" you remove are there for visual purposes when editing pages and have no effect on the actual appearance of articles and a negligible effect on page load times. I'd suggest you find something more productive to do. Pats1 T/C 00:31, 16 December 2010 (UTC)

Request reason:
The edits I am making here on wikipedia are to:
* Make web pages easier to understand when wording is unclear * Intended to speed up web page load time when there are unnecessary characters on the page. This is mostly done by removing unneeded spaces and duplicate links within the same page frame. Less characters and commands will help make the page fast. * Minimize word redundancy to keep the page interesting * Update stats * Check outgoing links and add title when not there * Improve punctuation and grammar, to make the page easier to read
To remove all my edits, to make a point, would seem unnecessary. I edit because I believe it makes wikipedia a more trustworthy resource to visitors.
One of the warnings I received seemed invalid. I was told to stop shortening dates like 2001-2003 to 2001-03, and 2005 through 2007 to 2005 through '07.
Pats1 is right. Removing spaces is almost meaningless to page speed. I see removing unnecessary characters the same way. I believe that each unnecessary character I remove makes the page .001% faster.
Alright, I will change the way I edit here. I just hope Wikimedia uses some of the funds collected this year to improve the software for faster page-load times. Comment: Which for a typical broadband connection, loading a page in 1.5 seconds maybe becomes 1.4 seconds. Not even noticeable. Pats1 T/C 02:21, 16 December 2010 (UTC)
I am a seven-year webmaster. One of the things I do not understand is that people do not see making a page fast a priority over reader-friendly write-up.
Could someone lift my block? I promise to do only constructive edits. Sure. Pats1 T/C 02:21, 16 December 2010 (UTC)

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
