June 2023[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Because we have a policy against usernames which give the impression that the account represents a group, club, organization, company, or website, I have blocked this account from editing. You are welcome to continue editing after you have chosen a new username that complies with Wikipedia's username policy.

You should also read our conflict of interest guideline and be aware that promotional editing is not acceptable, regardless of the username that you choose. Additionally, if your contributions to Wikipedia form all or part of work for which you are, or expect to be, paid or compensated in any way, you must disclose who is paying you to edit here.

Please take a moment to either create a new account, or request a username change of your current account here. The new username that you choose must represent you as an individual person, and it must comply with Wikipedia's username policy.
  • To create a new account with a different username, simply log out of this account and then click here to make a new one.
  • If you prefer to change the username on this account, you may do so by adding the following text to the bottom of your talk page: ((unblock-un|new username|reason=Your reason here ~~~~)).

Please note that the new username you choose cannot already be taken or in use by another account. You can go here to search and see if the username you'd like to choose is available. If the search returns that no global account with that username exists, that means it is available to be taken.

Please also note that you are permitted to use a username that contains the name of a company or organization if it also identifies you individually, such as "Sara Smith at XYZ Company", "Mark at WidgetsUSA", or "FoobarFan87", but not "SEO Manager at XYZ Company".

Appeals: If your username does not represent a group, organization, website, or other entity described above, and if you believe that this block was incorrect or made in error, you may appeal this block by adding the following text to the bottom of your talk page: ((unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~))

Thank you. Hadal (talk) 17:12, 9 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

new username to comply with rules Charlie Clarks Steakhouse (talk) 17:18, 9 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Accept reason:

The main issue here was your username; as that is resolved, I will remove the block. I will stress that when you create a draft(please see Articles for Creation) that you will need sources independent of your restaurant and that you should summarize what they see as the history of your restaurant, not what your restaurant might see it as. 331dot (talk) 20:03, 9 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I see that you declared a paid editing relationship, thanks; do you understand that the main purpose of a Wikipedia article is to summarize what independent reliable sources with significant coverage have chosen on their own to say about the company, showing how it meets the special Wikipedia definition of a notable company? Interviews, press releases, and announcements of routine business activities do not establish notability. 331dot (talk) 17:45, 9 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, I am a representative of the owner. Charlie Clark's Steakhouse has historical significance in our community and we would like to focus on the historical aspect. For example: Charlie Clark's is reportedly the 5th oldest Steakhouse Restaurant in Arizona & the oldest continuously operating in the White Mountains of Arizona!
Wherever you go you will find historic places and stories, but few can compare to the history and story of Charlie Clark's Steak House, the oldest continuously operating restaurant in the beautiful White Mountains for 85 years.
We also have some older photos that can accompany the information. Charlie Clarks Steakhouse (talk) 18:05, 9 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Comment[edit]

Thank you for declaring your conflict of interest. That doesn't mean you can write what you like, you must follow the guidance below:

  1. significant coverage in
  2. independent,
  3. multiple,
  4. reliable,
  5. secondary sources.
Note that an individual source must meet all four criteria to be counted towards notability.

Before attempting to write an article again, please make sure that the topic meets the notability criteria linked above, and check that you can find independent third party sources. Also read Your first article.
