The Wikimedia Foundation Community health initiative (led by the Safety and Support and Anti-Harassment Tools team) is conducting a survey for en.wikipedia contributors on their experience and satisfaction level with the Administrator’s Noticeboard/Incidents. This survey will be integral to gathering information about how this noticeboard works - which problems it deals with well, and which problems it struggles with.
The survey should take 10-20 minutes to answer, and your individual responses will not be made public. The survey is delivered through Google Forms. The privacy policy for the survey describes how and when Wikimedia collects, uses, and shares the information we receive from survey participants and can be found here:
If you would like to take this survey, please sign up on this page, and a link for the survey will be mailed to you via Special:Emailuser.
Please be aware this survey will close Friday, Dec. 8 at 23:00 UTC.

Your recent editing history at Survivor: Ghost Island shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See BRD for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.
Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. only (talk) 19:53, 9 December 2017 (UTC)
I probably should've asked this before I removed it but I didn't think of it until afterwards. You nominated the page Cody Nickson for speedy deletion (which I don't have a problem with). I believe I'm considered the original creator of the article because I created the original redirect however I did not create the article that currently exists there now. Did I have a right in removing the speedy deletion tag or should I revert and contest on the talk page? TheDoctorWho (talk) 01:31, 14 March 2018 (UTC) I'm so sorry for causing confusion, I was trying to refer to the person that made Cody Nickson an actual article instead of reverting it back to the BB19 houseguest page. Again, sorry for the confusion. VietPride10 (talk) 03:06, 14 March 2018 (UTC)

"Congressional District" should be capitalized, it is referring to a specific district, ex. 8th Congressional District. It looks grammatically wrong for it to be lowercase. There are several academic/professional grammar sources that have this opinion as well (Chicago Manual of Style, Associated Press, etc.) As for the gain/bar formatting, I was debating on what format to use, but I do think I'll do the full bar now instead of stopping it where I was. — Preceding unsigned comment added by GavinTheViking (talk • contribs) 19:54, 15 November 2018 (UTC) It is a proper noun when referring to a specific congressional district. Alone, "congressional district" should be lowercase, but "8th Congressional District" should be capitalized. Here's some academic sources to explain it better (Ctrl+F "congressional district" to find the spots in the links): https://www.tamut.edu/academics/gbugh/PoliticalScience/ChicagoGuideforPoliticalScience.htm https://www.gpo.gov/fdsys/pkg/GPO-STYLEMANUAL-2008/pdf/GPO-STYLEMANUAL-2008-6.pdf — Preceding unsigned comment added by GavinTheViking (talk • contribs) 20:19, 15 November 2018 (UTC) Alright. But when you put "N/A" in the Party section for Write-Ins, make sure to remove that table entry's 'with party link', so that there isn't a link to the "N/A" wikipedia page. — Preceding unsigned comment added by GavinTheViking (talk • contribs) 21:19, 15 November 2018 (UTC)

An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Nevada elections, 2018, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Catherine Byrne (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Hey VietPride10 just curious why did you change the Houseguests table for Celebrity Big Brother 2 (U.S. season)? The format that was implemented is a newer format that is scalable to the reader's display (like mobile phones, and various desktop resolutions) and reduces unused space on the article. It was discussed over at WT:BIGBRO and no has objected to the format as I've been rolling it out on Big Brother (UK TV series). Just curious as to why the change back to the old format? I reverted your reversion on 2012 United States House of Representatives elections in Maryland because you introduced duplicate "last_election1" and "last_election2" parms.
As you can see in the "Warning:" message at the top of the edit screen when you press "Show preview", when there are more than one of a given parm in a template, only the last one is used. So for two "last_election1" parms, only the second value ("6") shows in the displayed Infobox; the first value ("60.48%") doesn't show.
You can see an example of how to code it in the "Infobox Election" documentation.
If other election articles have such duplicate parms, they're wrong.
Davemck (talk) 06:21, 3 February 2019 (UTC)
Please do not remove the ((nowrap)) in the template as it messed up the layout in the election infoboxes, particularly the infobox for 1968 United States presidential election. --Walk Like an Egyptian (talk) 06:44, 26 February 2019 (UTC)

Hello,
Google Code-In, Google-organized contest in which the Wikimedia Foundation participates, starts in a few weeks. This contest is about taking high school students into the world of opensource. I'm sending you this message because you recently edited a documentation page at the English Wikipedia.
I would like to ask you to take part in Google Code-In as a mentor. That would mean to prepare at least one task (it can be documentation related, or something else - the other categories are Code, Design, Quality Assurance and Outreach) for the participants, and help the student to complete it. Please sign up at the contest page and send us your Google account address to google-code-in-admins@lists.wikimedia.org, so we can invite you in!
From my own experience, Google Code-In can be fun, you can make several new friends, attract new people to your wiki and make them part of your community.
If you have any questions, please let us know at google-code-in-admins@lists.wikimedia.org.
Thank you!

Hello VietPride - In your recent edit (diff) you changed "Omari Faulkner, business executive, U.S. Navy reservist, professor, author, former State Department Envoy" to "Omari Faulkner, business executive and former U.S. State Department official". I see a rationale for making the candidate's description less wordy. At the same time, since we note the military affiliation for two other candidates (both Army veterans), to be fair I believe we should note that Faulkner is in the U.S. Navy Reserve. What do you think? - Mark D Worthen PsyD (talk) (I'm a man—traditional male pronouns are fine.) 13:48, 30 March 2020 (UTC)
I have severe reservations about polls sponsored by the hyper-political Restoration PAC[1] which has been running negative ads against Michigan senator Gary Peters such as at [2]. Did you bother to check the links I provided in the Talk:2020_United_States_Senate_election_in_Michigan page? If you still want to keep the Restoration PAC polls in, I INSIST that there be a disclaimer that shows Restoration PAC's partisan political activites regarding the 2020 United States Senate election in Michigan. Hey I noticed that you changed the results in the election boxes from 2 decimal places to 1 on the 2020 United States House of Representatives elections in Florida page. I know that E&R distinguishes between pre-'32 and post-'32 elections (the prior being my specialty). For pre-'32, the standard is 2 decimal places. I don't know what the standard is for post-'32 as I've seen both 1 and 2 decimal places (sometimes even on the same article, like on 2020 United States Senate election in Maine), but wouldn't 2 decimal places be more intuitive as it is more exact? Hello, I saw you reverted my edit and I saw you ask why I switched the poll order that they came out on the same day. I did this because the Trafalgar poll had a larger sample size and a smaller margin of error. I understand your idea of using the poll that took a shorter amount of time to complete to "break the tie". No complaints, but since you asked, I wanted to let you know my reasoning. Keep up the good work, I enjoy that we are both normally the first to insert polls! GeorgeBailey (talk) 04:30, 2 November 2022 (UTC)
