At the moment I have three different user accounts, all with the same name, for each of the three langauges: English, Afrikaans, and Meta.
Is it not possible to have just a single account that works on all three portals? Managing three accounts is kind of tricky. -Yeshuahasochek (talk) 16:01, 16 March 2008 (UTC)
I can translate between English (eng) and Afrikaans (afr), however, I don't see such a translator's template at Babel or elsewhere. Is it possible to create such a template so that I can put that template on my Meta account user page? This will allow others who wish to form an Afrikaans translation project to do the same and find each other. Thanks :)
You recently added Cornelis Jacobus Langenhoven to the List of Freemasons. I thank you for your contribution, but the inclusion criteria for that list requires that all entries to be cited to reliable sources at the time of addition. I have therefor removed your addition. It isn't personal. Blueboar (talk) 14:44, 20 March 2008 (UTC)
I removed your recent addition to Ritual since it isn't exactly a common example of ritual practice. The fact that ritual is important to Magick and Theurgy bares mention in those entries but the converse is not true. Regards.
SuggestBot predicts that you will enjoy editing some of these articles. Have fun!
SuggestBot picks articles in a number of ways based on other articles you've edited, including straight text similarity, following wikilinks, and matching your editing patterns against those of other Wikipedians. It tries to recommend only articles that other Wikipedians have marked as needing work. Your contributions make Wikipedia better -- thanks for helping.
If you have feedback on how to make SuggestBot better, please tell me on SuggestBot's talk page. Thanks from ForteTuba, SuggestBot's caretaker.
P.S. You received these suggestions because your name was listed on the SuggestBot request page. If this was in error, sorry about the confusion. -- SuggestBot (talk) 18:25, 11 April 2008 (UTC)
The article The Gospel of the Second Coming has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the ((dated prod))
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing ((dated prod))
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Ari (talk) 04:53, 3 January 2010 (UTC)
Hi Yeshua!
The nascent South African Wikimedia chapter has decided to bid to host Wikimania in Stellenbosch, South Africa in 2012. This would be the first Wikimania in South Africa, and would be a great advertisement for our country. Please take a look at meta:Wikimania_2012/Bids/Stellenbosch. If you can add to the discussion, please do. If you feel that you are able to do anything to help, please join the Wikimedia South Africa mailing list and let us know. Even simple messages of support are valued!
Best regards,
I am learning Afrikaans. I thought a great way to learn would be to translate some of the English Wiki pages to Afrikaans. I have people proofreading first before I post. I have 3 articles done, I'm just waiting for the proofreading. As I don't know all the words yet, I have been using a translator, not sure if is helping or making things worse. I guess I'll find out when people start sending me back the proofed pages. How does it work with Wiki proofreaders? Do I post the stuff and tag it somehow? Do I post in profreader's talk that I posted? I've edited pages with a different account, but I've never translated or created pages yet, I'm quite excited to contribut to the Wiki Afrikaans pages! Dear WikiProject South Africa Wikipedians
This is an urgent call from Wikimedia South Africa. We are currently working hard on the South African side of the exciting international photographic competition, Wiki Loves Monuments [2]. We have been planning to make this national competition really take off, but to do so, we need your help! The competition starts on the 1st September, and we need your help now! If you are interested in being part of or can help the Wiki Loves Monuments national organising team, then please join here [ http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Commons:Wiki_Loves_Monuments_2012_in_South_Africa]. If you have limited time, but want to help out at an upload marathon at a heritage site near you, please then contact either Lourie [louriepieterse@yahoo.com] or Isla [islahf@africacentre.net]. We look forward to hearing from you!"
Kind regards, Lourie
