Vartun (Persian: ورطون, also Romanized as Varţūn and Vartūn; also known as Varţān, Vartan, and Varūn)[3] is a village in Sistan Rural District of Sistan District, Kuhpayeh County, Isfahan province, Iran.
At the 2006 National Census, its population was 477 in 123 households, when it was in the former Kuhpayeh District of Isfahan County.[4] The following census in 2011 counted 479 people in 153 households.[5] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 576 people in 187 households. It was the most populous village in its rural district.[2]
In 2021, the district was separated from the county in the establishment of Kuhpayeh County, which was divided into two districts of two rural districts each, with the city of Kuhpayeh as its capital.[6]
