Delete. Wide receiver for an FCS team (Richmond), but no accomplishments of the type needed to pass WP:NCOLLATH. Drafted by the Oakland Raiders, but he never appeared in a regular season NFL game. (See here). Accordingly, he does not pass WP:NGRIDIRON. Finally, my searches found this, but not finding significant coverage in multiple, reliable, and independent sources of the type needed to pass WP:GNG. Cbl62 (talk) 20:44, 4 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Source 2 is routine high school football game coverage that briefly mentions one play Shields made. Source 3 mentions Shields for two sentences as a Raiders draft pick. Source 4 briefly mentions Shields was placed on injured reserve as routine transactional coverage. Source 5 is from an SBNation Raiders blog that mentions Shields ran a fast 40-yard-dash at the combine. Delete based on the article as written and the sources provided above. The sources provided seem to be either transactional in nature (which we typically ignore for notability) or an "and finally" type article (that we also ignore for notability). Players such as this one have achieved notability and while he certainly could be notable, we really need to see the evidence in some sort of independent third party article collection.--Paul McDonald (talk) 13:24, 15 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
