It's not only the "National Paralympic Games Champion" title but the combination of the title AND his death in a high profile accident in the most populous country, which is also the worst accident (by death toll) in Chinese sport history / in the world's ultra-marathon history / probably the worst by death toll of the participating athletes in the world's modern sport history (en:List_of_accidents_and_disasters_by_death_toll#Sporting_events)), that makes him notable and Wikipedia-article worthy (posthumously). There are really many Chinese-language media articles and reports about him now.
